To know Elissa was a blessing in itself. She lived her life with kindness and generosity, leaving behind countless cherished memories.
Elissa worked at her father’s bakery on Federal Hill until attending St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing. She then pursued her passion to care for others as a Registered Nurse for 43 years until retiring in 2008. Elissa and her husband Frank built their life together over 63 loving years, enjoying every moment big or small. She loved nothing more than spending time with family.
Elissa found joy in cheering for the New England Patriots, especially when Tom Brady was on the field. She cherished playing card games with her cousins and spending time reading. Baking was one of her favorite activities — whether it was birthday treats for family or her much loved Christmas cookies each year. In her later years, she could often be found in her favorite spot on the couch, content with a word search in hand.
Both personally and professionally, Elissa had a passion for helping people. Elissa’s life was defined by her caring nature and the unwavering love and support she gave to her family. She was a steady, reliable presence whose care touched everyone around her. Elissa leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will never be forgotten.
