
Born in Providence, Elizabeth was a daughter of the late William and Mary Ellen (McGrath) Hogan. A lifelong resident of the area, she was known for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.
Betty worked as a hairdresser for many years, a profession that allowed her to connect closely with others and bring comfort and confidence to those she served. Later in life, she devoted many years as a bus aide for handicapped children in the City of Providence, a role that reflected her deep compassion, patience, and commitment to caring for others.
She was a loving mother to Stephen B. Hynes, and she was predeceased by her cherished sons, William J. Hynes and Kevin H. Hynes. She was also the beloved sister of the late Patricia M. Goodwin. Elizabeth will be remembered fondly by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her, leaving behind memories of kindness, strength, and quiet grace.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 12:00 PM, in the chapel at St. Francis Cemetery, 163 Smithfield Avenue, Pawtucket.
