Elizabeth Simone

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Antonia (Renzi) Tirocchi.

In addition to being a loving mother, Liz was an Administrator in the Cranston Mental Health Clinic. During her many years there she was dedicated to both staff and patients and formed many long and meaningful relationships. She was also a communicant of St. Bartholomew Church.

Liz was glamorous and fashionable and was known for her exquisite taste. Her love and appreciation for aesthetics and culture was reflected in all she did. Her talent for decorating and entertaining was inspiring and she was devoted to her home.

She mostly cherished her family, especially her two sons. She leaves behind her son Gregory J. Simone and daughter in law Karen Fotiu Simone of Kinnelon, NJ and her son George Simone III and daughter in law Beth Bodek Simone of Philadelphia, PA; five grandchildren, Nicole, Matthew, Sam, Marissa and Olivia and one great grandchild, Ziggy. She was also the sister of the late Val Tirocchi Storti, Louis W. Tirocchi, D.D.S., Salvatore Tirocchi, Archie Tirocchi, Vera Tirocchi and Anne (Tirocchi) Rao.

Her funeral with visitation will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 9:00 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Bartholomew Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
