

Adamonis, Ernestine V. (Karazia) 92, died Monday at the Holiday Retirement Center, in Lincoln. She was the loving wife of the late Adolf Adamonis.Born in Worcester, MA, she was a daughter of the late Justin and Pauline (Pupis) Karazia.Ernestine worked as a registered nurse for Women & Infants Hospital for 28 years, before her retirement in 1987.She was a 2nd Lt. in the US Army Nurse Corp, in WWII. She received the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.Ernestine graduated from Worcester Memorial Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She also graduated with a Master of Science Degree in Psychology from Clark University.She was a member of the Manton Senior Citizens Bowling League for many years.Ernestine leaves her two daughters, Martha E. Howarth, and her husband, James, of Enfield, CT, and Paula M. Hemond, and her husband, David, of Cumberland; a brother, Richard J. Karazia, of Upton, MA; two grandsons, Adam Howarth, and his wife Andrea, Paul Howarth, and his wife, Kimberly; and two great grandchildren, Conor Howarth and Michaela Howarth.Her funeral with visitation will begin on Friday, November 27, 2015 at 9:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt. 117) Warwick, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 am, in the funeral home. Burial will military honors will be in R.I.
