Freddie Mae Berkshire

Freddie T. Berkshire, 92, of Westview Drive, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, September 26, 2015, at home with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Harry B. Berkshire.Born in Choudrant, LA, a daughter of the late Fred and Edith (Hawkins) Taylor.Freddie was an elementary school teacher in Lincoln Parish, Louisiana, for many years before retiring. She was active in her church, an a avid Bridge player at the senior center in Coventry.She leaves two sons, Harry B. Berkshire, Jr., of Compton Place, NJ, Stephen Berkshire of Chesterfield, VA; two daughters, Joni Martell and Dawn Berkshire both of Coventry; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, and a sister Mary Aswell of Calhoun, LA. She was the sister of the late Evans Taylor and Virginia Valley.The funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:00 am, at the Faith Baptist Church, 785 Commonwealth Avenue, Warwick.Burial will be in Calhoun, LAVisiting hours Monday, 4:00-7:00 pm in the Russell J.
