Gaetano “Guy” Romano, 87, of Providence, passed away July 5, 2013. He was the husband of the late Clorinda “Linda” (Marocco) Romano. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Enrico and Josephine (Sirignano) Romano.
He is survived by his daughters Carol Rancourt and her late husband Mitch; Gail Lepore and her husband James and JoAnn Romano; his granddaughters Genna and Breanna Lepore; and his brother John Romano. He was the brother of the late Frank Romano.
He was an Army Veteran having served in WWII. He was also a Mason for the M.A. Gamino Construction Co. and a member of the RI Bricklayers Union Local 1.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, 4-7 p.m. with a funeral on Wednesday at 8 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence, followed by graveside burial with military honors in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
