Gerald James Miner

Miner, Gerald, J. "Jerry" age 76, of Shenandoah Rd. passed away on April 20th at RI Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Claire (Theroux) Miner. Born in Providence, a son of the late James and Mae(McKillop) Miner. Mr. Miner was a Purchasing Agent in the office supply industry for many years, and for the past 15 years he was employed by Sovereign Bank in Customer Service. He also served in the Air National Guard. Besides his wife of over 50 years, he is survived by his children, Michael D. Miner and wife Mary Lou of Warwick, Diane E. Mihailides and husband George of Rehoboth MA, and Carolyn M. Higgins and husband Michael of Warwick. He was the brother of Robert Miner of Warwick, Lois Miner of NH and brother of the late James, Frederick and Leonard Miner. Loving grandfather of Erin, James, Lexi, Greg, Sarah and Joseph. Mr. Miner was also the godson of Francis Hawkins and Katherine Wetzel. His funeral will be held on WEDNESDAY at 8:45am from The RUSSELL J. BOYLE & SON Funeral Home 142 Centerville Rd., WARWICK, with a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gregory the Great Church, Warwick at 10am; a grave side interment will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
