

Born in Providence, he was the son of Phyllis A. (Mannarelli) Montecalvo and the late Ronald R. Montecalvo.
Gian graduated from Classical High School and the new England Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was an agent for Homeland Security for 10 years and proudly served 20 years as a City of Providence Police Reserve Officer.
Gian was a master builder of WW II models and dioramas and was chief judge of The Bay Colony Modeler's Club. He was also an instructor for safe gun use and protection.
Gian was the beloved husband of the late Robin Ann (Langevin) Montecalvo. Besides his mother, he is survived by his cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 9:30-10:30 AM, followed by a service at 10:30 AM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A graveside burial will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
