Born in Caserta, Italy, he was the husband of the late Emilia (Costigliola) Giordano; father of Rosanna Spinella and her husband Raymond A., and Domenic Giordano and his wife Sherry; grandfather of Marc and Steven Spinella, Marissa and Ariana Giordano; and brother of the late Fiorina Melucci. He had also been the companion of Ann Gemma.
Mr. Giordano came to the United States in 1959 at the age of 23. He enjoyed cooking, gardening and singing and was a member of the St. Anthony Church Choir.
Mr. Giordano had been the owner and operator of Gigi’s Tailoring for many years before retiring. He was well known for his expert tailoring skills.
Visitation Tuesday, 4-7 p.m. Funeral Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Entombment will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
