Jacquelyn A. Flynn, 67, of Providence passed away on December 10, 2021. She was a daughter of the late John F., Jr. and Florence R. (Connell) Flynn. She is survived by her sisters Karen Flynn of Greenville, Joan L., Claire F., and Barbara L. all of Providence; nephew Kyle J. Lynch and his wife Megan of Providence; and a long list of treasured friends.
She retired after 42 years from Amica as an insurance rater in 2013. Jackie had played softball on the Amica team. She played junior and senior varsity basketball at St. Mary’s Academy of the Visitation. Jackie spent her elementary years at St. Raymond’s.
Jackie was very funny and entertained any room she entered. You never knew when she would break out with a soulful version of “Oh My Man, I Love Him So.” She was known to make a mean pot of chili or beef stew. She was an ardent fan of local sports, however the Red Sox were her favorites.
Visitation will be Thursday 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Ave, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Raymond Church, 1240 North Main St, Providence followed by burial in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
