

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Enrico and Anna (Cataldo) Baccari. She grew up as one of eight children in the Eagle Park section of Providence. She was predeceased by two husbands, the late Nicholas DeChiara (married for twenty-three years) and the late Nicholas Fede (married for twenty-four years). She was also predeceased by six siblings, Claire Bernardo, Ann Cooper, Beverly Valeff, Phillip Baccari, Harry Baccari and Anthony Baccari. Jennie is survived by her brother, Louis Baccari of Johnston, along with many nieces and nephews.
Jennie lived most of her life as a resident of Cranston.
Her life was centered around her family. She loved her sisters and brothers greatly and was always there for them in providing needed comfort while opening her home at times to friends and family in need of a place to stay. She was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews, always sharing in their lives each step of the way right from the time they were infants. Jennie enjoyed entertaining in her Cranston home, especially around Christmas. The memories of her Christmas Eve gatherings will last a lifetime for those who were fortunate enough to attend. She loved to decorate her own home for the holidays but also greatly enjoyed joining in decorating homes of other members of her family.
Jennie loved coffee time with family and friends. She enjoyed spirited discussions and was not shy about sharing her opinions. She enjoyed live music, dancing, shopping and was known for her vast and stylish wardrobe. Jennie is legendary for hardly ever missing a hairdresser appointment which were carved in stone on Friday afternoons at 1:00 PM.
A Memorial Mass will be held in her memory on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM in Saint Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial will be private.
