Arzoomanian, John, 90 of Greenwich Avenue, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017 at his home. Born in Marseille, France, he was the son of the late Bagdasar and Elmas (Stepanian)Arzoomanian. Father of Gregory and Sona Arzoomanian. Brother of Leo and Ralph Arzoomanian.Family friend of Joseph and Dorine Korpacz.Prior to his death yesterday, John was the oldest surviving member of the Providence College Class of 1947 Basketball Team.He was an outstanding high school athlete at Central High School where he served as the Team Captain and was an All State Selection in basketball. John was employed at the Narragansett Power Company in Providence, and the RI Hospital Power Plant and later at the Providence Building Inspection Department. He retired from the Providence Civic Center after many years of service.Visiting hours will be held at 9.30 am on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, 402 Broadway. Funeral Services will be celebrated at 11:00 am.Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence. Arrangements by Russell J.
