

Fredericks, John T. age 74 of Warwick, passed away on April 12th at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Marion P. (Flynn) Fredericks. Born in North Adams MA, a son of the late John T. and Rose M.(Kordek) Fredericks. He lived in New York until 1963 when he moved his family to RI to help open The Providence Gravure, a sister co. of The Providence Journal. Mr. Fredericks spent over 40 years in the Pressman's Union, retiring in 1988 as Journeyman Pressman. He served his country during the Korean War with the Navy. Fondly known as Mr. Fred, he was involved with the Boy Scouts for over 37 years and was the Scoutmaster of Troop 117 of Warwick for 22 years. His proudest accomplishments were, the young men he saw become Eagle Scouts, two of which were his sons and two oldest grandsons, Timothy and Tyler Card. His other three grandsons are on the same path to Eagle. He received many awards for his years in scouting, among them, the Coveted Silver Beaver, one of the highest awards given to scouting volunteers. Besides his wife of over 54 years, he is survived by four children, Patricia A. Fredericks, Marion F. Card and Richard W. Fredericks all of Warwick, and John T. Fredericks III of So. Woodstock, CT. He had two wonderful daughter in-law's Kim M. and Holly L. Fredericks. He was the loving Papa of his precious grandchildren, Timothy and Tyler Card, John T. IV, Richard W. II, Andrew J. Fredericks and Brittany M. Fredericks. He was the brother of Rosemary Warner of Guilderland, NY, Barbara Shea of SC, and brother-in-law Richard DeMarie of Celebration, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on FRIDAY at 10am in St. Gregory The Great Church in Warwick, a graveside Interment will follow in The RI Veterans Cemetery in Exeter RI.
