John C. Guerra, 81, passed away November 17, 2012. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Matteo and Santa (Capizano) Guerra; husband of Anna M. (Lombardo) Guerra for 57 years; father of John M. Guerra, Susan M. Rossi and her husband Thomas; brother of Matteo Guerra, Anna Aurecchia and the late Frances Domenicone, Rose Gervais, Nancy Costello, Gaetano Guerra and Maryann Apostoli.
John worked as a jewelry designer/model maker for many years before retiring and served proudly in the U.S. Army in Okinawa during the Korean War. He was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed cooking, bowling and playing his saxophone.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Visitation respectfully omitted.
