John T. Tourgee

Born in Scituate, he was a son of the late George and Eleanor (White) Tourgee.

He was the loving father of Dawn Correll (Shawn), John Tourgee II (Cheryl), Laura Lee Martel (Troy), and Jason Tourgee (Tiffany); cherished grandfather of Cassandra, Jordan, HaleyLynn, Kaitlin, Danielle, Kelsey, Brooke, Jason Jr., and Justin; great-grandfather of Lisa, Eli, and AJ; brother of Ellen Tevyaw, Frank Tourgee, Irene Cole, Robert Tourgee, and the late Barry Tourgee; and adored uncle of several nieces and nephews.

John was a former jewelry polisher and a retired warehouse manager at Conlon Moving & Storage. He was an avid fisherman and lover of the outdoors. John enjoyed watching his grandkids/great-grandkids play sports. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. John was a kind, loving man who was always there to help others.

His visitation will be held Monday, July 10, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the Romano Funeral Home, 627 Union Ave, Providence with a service in the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be private.

There will be a Celebration of John’s life held on Friday, July, 21st, 2023 at 5:00 pm at the FOP Warwick Lodge 7, 95 Tanner Ave, Warwick, RI 02886. All are welcomed to attend.
