Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Emanuele and Concetta (Cintolo) Criscione.
Joe loved to spend time with his family and friends. He and his wife, Peggy, shared their life together for over 58 years. He greatly enjoyed making jokes and the reactions they generated. All were welcome in his home, with nights spent playing cards and games. From B.B King and Eric Clapton, to Elton John and Pavarotti, Joe enjoyed listening to music. Those fortunate enough to drive in his car were often granted the opportunity to listen to his unique singing. Joe could be counted upon to lend assistance no matter the issue. He graduated from Providence College and later worked for General Dynamics before retiring. Joe was a proud U.S. Army Veteran.
Joe was the loving father of Maria L. Pimentel and her husband Fred, John J. Criscione and his partner Laura DeConti and the late Joseph J.P. Criscione, Jr. and cherished Poppy of Kayla Pimentel, Corrin Wohlhieter (Brian), Kacey Pimentel, Julianna Criscione and Luca Criscione. He was the brother of John, Emanuele and Marianna Criscione and the late Joseph, Salvatore, Yolanda, Marianna and Concetta Criscione, Emanuela Iacono, Rosa Pompei, Sadie Andreozzi and Elena Dolan.
