He was the beloved husband of Nancy B. (Carroll) Curran. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph W. Sr. and Elizabeth (Walsh) Curran. He was the loving father of Linda A. Saliba and her husband Carl, Joseph W. Curran III, and Mary E. Curran; brother of Donald Curran and the late Robert Curran and Lois Kenney.
Joseph was an avid golfer and was a longtime member of Lincoln Country Club. As an avid sports fan his motto was, “If they didn’t hit it, kick it, or throw it, I didn’t watch it!”
His visitation will be held Friday from 4-7 p.m. in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial will be private.
