It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Clervil Duré on March 20, 2025 at the age of 86. Clervil was born on September 28, 1938 in Jacmel, Haiti to Clermont and Gemini (Laroche) Dure.
Clervil met the love of his life and beloved wife Rita (Breton) Duré in 1971. They have enjoyed 48 years of marriage.
Clervil worked in the food and hospitality industry for over 30 years. Clervil’s hard work and sacrifice is a true testament of his love and commitment to his family. He loved to garden and spend time with his family and friends. If he wasn’t home, you’d be sure to find him at his favorite corner store supporting the RI Lottery. He had a radiant smile and infectious laugh that lit up any room he entered. Clervil’s unwavering love and dedication were a constant source of strength and inspiration, and we will miss him dearly.
