Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Arthur and Ida (Franco) Rossi.
Joe was the owner of the former Railroad Inn and the Blue Parrot Restaurant in East Greenwich. He was also the owner of the East Greenwich Marina.
In addition to being survived by his wife, Jane (Hanna) Rossi, he was the brother of Thomas Rossi and his wife Kathy; nephew of Raymond Franco and Connie and uncle to several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Joseph H. Rossi, Jr. and Ann Marie Rossi.
A Memorial Mass will be scheduled later this month.
