Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Gaetano and Adelina (Pellegrini) Sclama.
Joe was a mortgage office for Sovereign Bank for many years before retiring.
He was the father of Lisa Sclama and Brian Sclama; grandfather of Caleb and Noah and brother of Jean Sclama and the late Joan Procaccianti.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 10:00 am in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. A private burial will be held at a later date. Visit www.romanofuneralhome.com.
