Joyce Marie Vieira

Joyce Marie Vieira (Camera), age 82, of Johnston, RI passed away Monday, March 23, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Frederick and Barbara (Holt) Camera, the beloved wife of Manuel Vieira Jr. for 61 years, the devoted mother of Lisa Aguiar (Louis) and Cheri DelPonte (Vincent), the cherished grandmother of Joelle Ware, Koren Ware, Michaela Angell, Abby Angell, Vinnie DelPonte and Michael DelPonte and the sister of Barbara O’Connor (Robert) and the late Alice Bailey, Shirley White, and Frederick Camera. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Joyce, also known as Nana was the heart of her family, someone who gave love so freely and made everyone around her feel at home. She found joy in the simple, meaningful moments — cooking for those she loved, spending cherished time with her grandchildren, making lasting memories on family trips to Misquamicut Beach, and of course shopping.

She carried a spirited, spicy attitude that made her unforgettable, paired with a contagious laugh that could light up any room. Joyce had a way of bringing warmth, strength, and laughter wherever she went, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Her love, her energy, and her presence will be deeply missed, but forever remembered and carried on in the hearts of her family and all who were lucky enough to know her.

A visitation will be held Friday, March 27, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, Riverside, RI.
