She was the wife of the late Joseph P. Iorfida to whom she was married for thirty-five years before his passing in 1989.
A lifelong resident of Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Clorinda "Cora" (D'Emilio) and Domenic Cappelli.
She leaves two daughters, Lois Gooding and her husband Lawrence of Lincoln and Lynn Iorfida of LaVista, Nebraska. She was also the sister of Clorinda "Clo" Bouthillier and her late husband Joseph.
Julie, who was affectionately known as "Aunt Julie" by friends and family, was a member of the Catholic Renew Group, a fine musician who graciously entertained at the piano for anyone who would ask.
She was an avid Scrabble player with a long history of winning every game. Juliette's door was always open, and she was happiest when she was preparing and serving traditional Italian holiday food and goodies to family and friends whom she loved dearly and who sometimes referred to her as "the family saint." She is going to be greatly missed.
