Katherine V. Gatta Mancini

Katherine V. (Gatta) Mancini, 93, passed away October 15, 2013. Mother of Robert A. Mancini and his partner, Rose Marie Clemente. She was the wife of the late, Frank Mancini and daughter of the late Liberato and Maria (Grantata) Gatta. Pre deceasing Katherine were her sisters, Helen Mancini and Evelyn Menna. An avid reader and lover of music, Katherine was a retired homemaker prior to entering Heritage Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a place she resided for the past five years. Besides her son and his partner, she is survived by several nieces and nephews together with brother-in-law, Dan Mancini and his wife, Norma, and sister-in-law, Angelina Landi and Brother-in-law, Albert Mancini and his wife Margaret. The family of Katherine wishes to thank the loving and caring staff of Heritage Hills who made her stay safe and pleasurable and the staff of Pontarelli-Marino Funeral Home, Providence, for their professional assistance.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, in celebration of her life, on Friday, October 18th, at 11:00am, at St. Edwards Church, 997 Branch Ave., Providence. Visiting hours have been respectfully omitted and burial will be private.
