Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Frances (Weinstein) Goldstein, she had lived in Boynton Beach for many years.
Lois earned a bachelor’s degree from Boston University and was a social worker for a few years before stepping aside to raise her family. She was a talented and competitive golfer and a prolific shopper.
She is survived by her two sons, David Madoff and his wife Donna of East Greenwich and Steven Madoff of Bangkok, Thailand; her brother, Richard Goldstein and his wife Mindy of Mattapoisett, MA of three grandsons, Justin Madoff, Drew Madoff and Brandon Elder and two great-grandchildren, Mia and Mac Madoff.
Her funeral and burial will be private.
