

Louis G. Campagnone, 80, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully March 16, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Carmino and Mary Agnes (Capuano) Campagnone. He was the beloved husband of the late Jeanette A. (Khoury) Campagnone for 50 years.
He was the devoted father of Dana A. Martinelli and her husband Santino and David A. Campagnone and his wife Kimberly. He was the loving grandfather of Marisa, Eva, Isabel and Corey. Brother of the late Josephine DeNomme and Dolores Barbieri and brother-in-law of Gail Khoury, Lorice Khoury, Frank Barbieri and his wife Matilda and the late Arthur DeNomme, Maryanne Durante, Louis Khoury and Georgia Autiello. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Louis graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in June of 1960. He was captain of the varsity football team and participated in outdoor track and wrestling. Louis was drafted into the Vietnam War were he proudly served his country in the Army. He continued his education at Bryant College where he received his undergraduate and Masters in Business Administration. He was the Chief of Environmental Services for the State of Rhode Island for many years and was a Professor at Providence College, CCRI and Bryant. He was also a proud member of the Aurora Civic Club in Providence since 2010, where he loved to play cards and enjoy the comradery with great friends. He loved spending time with his family, especially his Grandchildren. Louis was a hardcore Friars fan and proudly held season tickets to Providence College Friars basketball since 1985. Go Friars!
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 19th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint George Maronite Church, 1493 Cranston St, Cranston at 12 Noon. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Louis’ memory can be made to Saint George Maronite Church.
