Lucy (Landolfi) Aurelio, age 90, passed away September 21, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Aurelio; daughter of the late Vincent and Marianna (Tavarozzi) Landolfi; loving mother of Carol Hartnett and her husband James, Richard Aurelio and his wife Terry, and the late Louis J. Aurelio; cherished grandmother of Jonathan, Michelle, Samantha, Paul, Stacy, and Kevin Aurelio and Robert, Brendan, and AnnMarie Hartnett; great-grandmother of Lulu and Ophelia Aurelio; mother in law of Ester Aurelio; and sister of the late John Landolfi.
Lucy had a fulfilling and happy life. She was married to Albert in a loving relationship for 60 years. They traveled to Hawaii, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Mexico and as they got older they spent their winter months in Florida, but Mom did not like to be separated from her home and family and after a few months she would be anxious to get back. Lucy was all about her family and she often said that Christmas was her favorite holiday because it was the one holiday when we were all together.
Those who knew Lucy would immediately feel her warmth and love. When arriving at her home there was an open chair, a pot of coffee, pastries on the table and a dimpled smile with bright red lips. Lucy was easy to be with and easy to talk to, she was the sweetest of all ladies.
Our sweet mom, the lovely Lucy leaves us with a legacy of kindness which we have instilled in our children to pass to future generations. And just think about that. Think about how one person’s kindness can trickle down and maybe, hopefully make this world a better place. One person at a time.
Thank you Mom. We love you.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation with the family in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence Tuesday from 9:30-10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
