Cranston: Beattie, Marie F.(Clancy), of Cranston, died Monday at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the wife of the late James E. Beattie.Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Mabel (Bartley) Clancy.Marie was a case work supervisor for the RI Department of Social and Rehabilitative Services for 45 years, retiring in 1982.She was a graduate of Regis College in Weston, MA and a was a communicant of St. Mark Church, Cranston.She leaves her nephew, William Dwyer and his wife Jean and her niece, Jacqueline A. Baker and her husband Robert. She also leaves several cousins, nieces and nephews.Her funeral and visitation will be held on THURSDAY at 8:30 am from the Russell J. Boyle&Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd., Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in St. Mark Church, Garden Court, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mark Church Renovation Fund, 9 Garden Ct., Cranston, RI 02920, in her memory would be appreciated.
