Marion Agnes Owens

Warwick: Owens, Marion A. (Day), 97, of Mawney Ave, passed away on Sunday at Brentwood Nursing Home. She was wife of the late Irving J. Owens,Sr.Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Clara (Bergeron) Day.Marion worked for Coro Manufacturing in Providence for over 45 years until it closed in 1979. She enjoyed dancing and singing.She is survived by her son, Irving J. Owens,Jr. of East Greenwich; and her sisters, Eileen Monroe, Regina Fagnant, Helen Vandermost, Joan Noble and her brother, James Day; her grandchildren, Michael, Bryan and Kelly Owens; great grandchildren, Michael J. Owens, Jr. and Jake Ryan Owens. She was the sister of the late Veronica Williams, Madeline Engles, Georgianna Head, Francis Day, Frederick Day and Albert Day.Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8:45 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd., Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am in St. Benedict Church, 135 Beach Ave, Warwick. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery Cranston. Visiting hours, Tuesday, 4-7 pm.
