Mary Theresa Langton, 83, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 23, 2017 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Thomas E. and Ellen (Connolly) Langton. She worked as a secretary in Washington D.C., for Senator John O. Pastore and after that she worked at a school for the disabled. After retirement, she moved back to Rhode Island to be close to her family. Mary was a graduate of the Catholic University in Washington D.C. receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Miss Langton is survived by a brother, Thomas A. Langton; a sister, Ellen B. Langton, both of Providence; and a close circle of friends. Her funeral with visitation will begin on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 8:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am, in Saint Pius V Church, Eaton Street, Providence.
