

Providence Michael A. Peterson, 54, of Newark Street, died Monday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Joan F. (Nobre) Peterson, Chairwoman of the 12th Ward Democratic Committee. They were married for thirty years. Born in Providence, a son of the late George S. and Dorothy M. (Morrissey) Peterson, he was a lifelong city resident. Mike was a supervisor for the Ben Androlli Construction Company, and was also a self employed painter for many years. Besides his wife Joan, he leaves two sons, Bruce W. Hyder, Jr. and Michael Cedroni; two daughters, Brenda Medina and Elizabeth Coyle and her husband Arthur Mottram III; a brother, Kevin A. Peterson and his wife Coleen; a sister Patricia D'Amico; five grandchildren, Angel, Arthur, Brenden, Luzelenia and Hanna; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Daniel Peterson. The funeral will be held Thursday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Patrick Church, 244 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will be private. Visiting hours Wednesday, 5 - 8 pm.
