Michelina DeSimone (Pesaturo), 95, passed away October 27, 2013. She was the wife of the late Peter DeSimone. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Giovanni and Caroline (Miele) Pesaturo.
Michelina is survived by her grandchildren, Jeanine Crowder and her husband Doug, Raymond Pesaturo, Jr. and his wife Tami, Angela Riese and her husband Mike, and Teresa Christensen and her husband Kurt; her sister Dora Sanders; her daughter-in-law Linda Ward; and her nephew Jerry Pounders and his wife Maria, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Raymond Pesaturo; and sister of the late John and Carmino Pesaturo, Olga Pounders, and Rose Maher.
Visitation and funeral will be held Thursday from 12-1 p.m. with a service at 1 p.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Overlook Nursing Home Activity Fund, 14 Rock Avenue, Pascoag, RI 02859.
