Nabor C. Cevallos

Nabor C. Cevallos, age 76 passed away March 17, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Yolanda Cevallos to he was happily married for 50 years. To his immediate family and grandchildren, he was know as “Papi”

Born in Ecuador, he was a son of the late Reineiro and Marina Cevallos. In his younger years, he loved the sciences, soccer, and spending his time with family and friends. It was during this time he met Yolanda. They later married and started a new life in the United States.

As he acclimated in his new home in Providence, Nabor found new friends and community through local family, friends, and Calise Bakery where he worked 10 long years. During this time he also grew to admire American sports like baseball, basketball, and tennis. He loved his beloved Red Sox and Celtics.

Later in life, Nabor suffered but survived a stroke. Although his time with Calise ended abruptly, he found new strength in supporting and caring for his grandchildren. He was fortunate enough to enjoy birthdays, baptisms, communions, confirmations, weddings, and many other occasions for his sons and grandchildren. He was also their biggest fans on the sidelines at their sporting events. On top of this, he was always a loving husband, farther, and grandfather.

Nabor was the devoted father of Jorge M. Cevallos and his wife Lavone (Khamosomphou) Cevallos, Corinto R. Cevallos and his wife Kristen L. Cevallos; adored brother of Marina, Gila and Bernice Cevallos; cherished grandfather of Tristan J., Joaquin S., Penelope N. and Chloe Ann Cevallos.

His Visitation will be held on Monday March 24, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Romano Funeral Home, 627 Union Avenue, Providence.

Funeral Tuesday March 25, 2025 at 9:00 am from the Romano Funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 in St. Bartholomew Church, 305 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
