

ProvidenceNancy A. Drohan, 49, of Niantic Avenue, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Patricia A. (Aylesworth) Drohan and the late Robert J. Drohan, Sr. She was employed at Super Stop & Shop, and then went on to work for the Providence School Department, as a teacher's assistant, for 18 years. Nancy was a member of the Laborers' International Union Local 1033. Besides her mother, she leaves behind her brother, Robert J. Drohan, Jr. (Ret. PPD) and his wife Maria (Bianco) of Providence; two sisters, Kathleen E. Drohan of Providence, and Maureen E. Drohan and her husband Carmine Porreca of North Providence. She also leaves two nieces and two nephews, whom she loved as they were her own; Alexia, Darrius, Bobby Drohan, and Gianna Porreca. Her funeral will be held Wednesday, at 8:30am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Saint Matthew Church, Elmwood Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, 5-8pm.
