Born in Sicily, Italy, he was the son of the late Micele and Sebastiana (Caraco) Cugno.
Mr. Cugno immigrated to the U.S. in 1960 and settled in Rhode Island where he worked as a sales representative for Alitalia Airlines for many years and later for Daniele Prosciutto.
He was the father of Henry and Paul J. Cugno; grandfather of Alessandra, Nicolas, Nicole, Michael and Amanda and great grandfather of Valentina. He was also the brother of the late Luigi Cugno.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Cross Church, Hartford Avenue, Providence. Burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITATION THURSDAY 5-8 PM. www.romanofuneralhome.com.
