Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Frank and Isabella (Corvese) Montanaro; husband of the late Doris E. (Overton) Montanaro; uncle of Helen Sheehan, Patricia Marshall, Mary Hoffman, Ruth Bucci, Joan Piccardi, Theresa McGinn, John McGinn and Jane McGinn. He also leaves several great-nieces and nephews and joins his 7 siblings that predeceased him.
Paul had worked as an orderly at the Rhode Island Hospital and had served in the United States Army during World War II.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 144 Danielson Pike, North Scituate. Burial with military honors in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be private.
