

ProvidencePhilip Joseph Maggio, (66) passed away on February 5, 2018 after a very brave battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine (Landry) Maggio. Born in Providence, on June 4, 1951, he was the son of the late Marilyn (Bourgeois) Maggio and the late Filippo Amadeo Maggio.Phil had been employed as a scheduler at Inteplast in Westboro, MA. He has been in the plastics industry almost his entire working life in several roles. Phil enjoyed his family life and loved to vacation and cruise. He would never turn down a trip to the casino. He was a very kind man and loved to be with his grandchildren. Besides his wife Lorry, Phil is survived by his son Paul Maggio and his wife, Heather; his daughter Kara (Maggio) Chianesi and her husband, Dave; his stepsons Jerry Theroux and his wife, Danielle, and Joseph Theroux and his wife Kristina. He has 6 grandchildren, Aiden Theroux, Dylan Theroux, Brayden Maggio-Seaton, Cooper Theroux, Gianna Chianesi and Kenadee Theroux; and two step-grandchildren, Tristen Senters and Mikalyn Tonry. His visitation will be held on Thursday, from 3 - 8 PM, from the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, (Rt. 117) Warwick, with a funeral service beginning at 6:30 pm.In lieu of flowers, donations to The American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd Suite #3004, Warwick, RI 02886 in his memory would be appreciated.
