

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Ralph P. And Emma (Mancini) Bossone.
Ralph was the loving father of Lorrie Prybyla and her late husband Edmund Prybyla; loving grandfather of Daniel Pion and his wife Jessy, John Prybyla and his wife Kristine; and loving great grandfather of Skyler, Jaxson, Blake, Nathan and Kira. He was also the brother in-law of Joseph LaMarra and his wife Donna, and his beloved dog Brownie.
Ralph was a Providence police officer, who proudly served his community for over 30 years reaching the rank of Lieutenant. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War where he was stationed in Germany.
He graduated from Bryant College with an Associate's Degree in Law Enforcement. Ralph also attended a Law Enforcement training course at Babson College.
Ralph loved spending time with his family, whom He loved with all of his heart. Ralph loved and cared so much for his family and friends, and would do anything within his power for them. His character was such that anyone who met him wanted to be his friend and they appreciated the time spent together.
Ralph loved gardening, visiting friends, playing cards, going on his daily walks and going to the casino with his wife. He was an avid football fan and he would always tinker around in the attempt to improve anything he viewed as problematic and he could resolve himself.
Ralph was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Sons of Italy and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
Ralph lived his life to the fullest, each and every day doing things his way.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice, especially Nicole, for their loving care that they demonstrated.
His visitation will be held on Friday January 5, 2024 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM in the Pontarelli-Marino Funeral Home, 971 Branch Ave, Providence, followed by a service in the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Please omit flowers.
