

He was the loving brother of William E. Lyons, and his wife, Val of North Attleboro; uncle of Cheryl Sullivan, and husband Jason of North Attleboro, William E. Lyons III and his wife, Ryann of North Kingstown; great-uncle of Liam and William IV.
Affectionately known as “Ricky” to his friends and family, he was an avid fan of the legendary Doris Day. In 2023, Raymond published a memoir entitled ‘Eternal Doris Day.’
Once Doris Day established her pet foundation, Lyons became one of the first members. He was also a member of the Doris Day Fan Club on Facebook and connected with many friends online as fellow admirers of the singer. He eventually met Doris twice and got to slow dance with her at the Quail Lounge in Caramel, CA in 1993.
