

ProvidenceConnelly, Richard H., 72, of Laurel Hill Avenue, died Thursday at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Barbara A. (Phaneuf) Connelly. They had been married for 47 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late James F. and Evelyn (McKenna) Connelly, he had lived in Providence most of his life. Mr. Connelly was an extruder operator for A & H Manufacturing Company for the past 35 years. He served his country proudly with the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was an avid golfer, who lived for, and loved his family very much, especially his grandchildren. Beside his wife, Barbara, he leaves a son; Paul R. Connelly of Providence, three daughters; Melissa A. Brown of West Greenwich, Kelly M. Stromberg of Warwick, Debbie Jo Silva of Coventry, a sister; Mary Martha Delmonico of Plainfield, CT., eight grandchildren, a niece and a nephew. He was the father of the late Kevin J. Connelly, and brother of the late Francis Connelly. The funeral will be held Saturday, at 8:00 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt117) Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Anthony Church, Plainfield Street, Providence. Burial will be in Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours Saturday morning, 8:00am - 9:00am.
