

WarwickRichard F. "Dick" Graham, 81, of Centerville Road, died Thursday at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by his loving children. He was the husband of the late Mary E. (Donovan) Graham. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, and raised in Providence, he lived in Warwick for the past four years, previously living in Sarasota, Florida, Narragansett, and Scituate. Dick was a lithographer, and worked in the printing industry for over forty years before retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Lithographers Union, Local 26 L. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy during WW II, serving in the P.T. Squadron. Mr. Graham was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Dillon Council, the Fifth Ward Democratic City Committee, and the Saint Pius Holy Name Society. He was a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts & Explorers, Troop 53, a communicant, and usher, at Saint Pius V Church. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed the Boston Red Sox. Dick was well liked by all who knew him, and he enjoyed life. He leaves three daughters, Barbara Ravenelle, Mary E. Audet, Jacqueline Graham-Machon; two sons, Richard F. Graham, Jr., and Joseph T. Graham; a brother, William T. Graham; a sister, Marilyn M. Maurer; nine grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. He was a brother of the late Dorothy J. Murphy. The funeral will be held Wednesday, at 9:00 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Pius V Church, Eaton Street, Providence. Burial, with military honors, will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Tuesday, 4 - 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Rhode Island Hospital Foundation, in honor of the Fifth Floor Doctors and Nurses of the Trauma Intensive Care Unit, P.O. Box H, Providence, RI 02901 in Mr. Grahams memory, will be appreciated.
