

Robert A. Masi, Sr., a resident of Wingate Residences on Blackstone Boulevard in Providence, RI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 3, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Masi formerly lived in North Providence for many years. He was the husband of the late Lydia (Romano) Masi.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio and Celia (Lancellotti) Masi. He was predeceased by his brothers Carl Masi, Anthony Masi, and Dr. Harry Masi.
Mr. Masi graduated from Purdue University Life Insurance Marketing Institute. He retired in 1987 as Coordinator of Operations for Dimeo Construction and Chapman Builders.
As a member of the Metacomet Country Club, he served on their Board. Mr. Masi was also a member of the Knights of Columbus – Council 1618, The Sons of Italy Lodge 585, and the RI Department of Labor OSHA Board.
Mr. Masi was a World War II U.S. Army veteran serving in the 79th Infantry Division with an honorable discharge on January 23, 1946.
He is survived by his son, Robert A. Masi, Jr. and his wife Constance of Cumberland, RI; a daughter, Paula A. Masi of Denver, Colorado; three grandchildren, Michaela L. Masi, Gregory J. Masi, and Courtney Hosterman; and two great-grandchildren, Sadie A. Hosterman and Henry E. Hosterman.
Funeral services for Mr. Masi were private. A Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date.
