New Bedford Ma: Corry, Robert J. Jr., 52, of New Bedford and formally of North Providence, RI, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Jennifer L. Corry.Beloved father of Robert E. Corry, Nicholas V. Corry, Caitlyn Haley and Sarah Haley. Born in Providence, the beloved son of Linda A. (Barry) Corry of Chepachet and the late Robert J. Corry, Sr.; brother of James J. Corry and Steven T. Corry.Bob served his country honorably in the Persian Gulf War as a Chief Warrant Officer with the U.S. Marine Corps. He served 22 years retiring in 2002.He graduated from Roger Williams University with Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. He was an active member of the Marine Corps League and was a Mason with St.John Lodge No.1 Newport.Funeral will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 9:15 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St., Providence. Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated at 10:45 am in St.Patrick Church,244 Smith St., Providence. Burial with military honors will be in the R.I. Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours,Friday 5-8 pm.
