

Born in Presque Isle, Maine in February, 1946, Bob was the son of the late Milfred and Gladys (Jordan) Walton. He always considered Maine home and found solace in the “back woods”.
Bob is survived by his loving and devoted wife, of over 40 years, Lin (Brissart) Walton, his brother Ronald and his wife Sharon of Loris, South Carolina, his sister Joyce Phelan of Daytona Beach, Florida, sister-in-laws Elaine and Cathy Brissart of South Kingstown, Rhode Island, Godson Kevin G. Bonneau of Warwick, Rhode Island and several generations of caring nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Star Smith, formerly of Conway, South Carolina.
He proudly served his country for 6 years as an Airmen in the United States Air Force, defending our freedoms during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Bob spent his entire 30 year career with Southern New England Telephone at various locations throughout Connecticut. He served in several positions for the company including Installer, Lineman, Residential and Business Representative, and Business Agent for the CUTW during his commercial years.
He was an avid outdoor enthusiast, enjoying hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, sea doing, boating, and four wheeling. Hard working, loyal and courageous were just a few of his finest qualities.
A Celebration of Bob’s life, with military honors, will be held on Saturday, July 30th, beginning at 7:30 pm, in the meadow across from Bob’s house at 2 Jessica Lee Ct. in Coventry, Rhode Island. Comfortable attire is suggested and guests are kindly asked to arrive prior to 7:15 pm.
In lieu of flowers a donation in Bob’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
