

Ruby I. Silvia, 87, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016. She was the wife of the late Antone Silvia.Born in Tennessee, a daughter of the late H.L. and Mary Jane (Gipson) Berryhill.Ruby was a dedicated worker for many years at Roger Williams Medical Center, a long time Member & Deaconess at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She would also serve meals at the local food pantry. Ruby was a woman admired by her family. She was selfless, always giving and doing for others. She raised her children, helped raise her grandchildren and even her great-grandchildren. She was always dedicating her love and time to her Family, Friends and Church Family. The kind of woman that did not think twice about helping someone in need, it's who she was no questions asked. To have a heart as big as hers is a blessing, to be touched by her heart is an honor! There are no words to describe how truly wonderful she really was! She will always be the heart of our family, Loved Greatly, Missed Terribly and Never Forgotten!Ruby is survived by her sons; David E. Silvia and wife Patricia and Antone Silvia Jr., two daughters; Denise Doughall and husband Dominick, and Mary Ann Pezzera and husband Fred. She was the mother of the late Joseph Franklin Silvia. She is also survived by her siblings, Jack, Lonnie and Earl Berryhill and Wilma Ruth Berryhill Ray. Grandchildren; Doris Perras, Meridith Silvia, Deana Silva, David Silvia II. Kim Wilson. Nicholas, Jonathan and Travis Pezzera. Kerry Silvia.She was the grandmother to the late Dominick Doughall II. She also leaves behind 18 great grandchildren.Her funeral with visitation will begin on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 9:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
