Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Louis and Leah (Petrecca) Catelli.
Russ was a sheet metal fabricator for the Sheet Metal Union; Local 17 for many years before retiring.
He was the father of Jason Catelli and his wife Rhonda and Jaime Davin and her husband Tim and cherished grandfather of Nathan, Juliana and Olivia Catelli and Lilly and Harley Davin. He was also the brother of Andrea Lynch and the late Joseph and Gerald Catelli and Marilyn Pagliaro.
His visitation and funeral will be held Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM in the Church of the Epiphany, 1336 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Graveside burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
