Sgt. Raymond F. Owens (PPD. Ret.)age 76 of Providence, passed away on November 14, 2012 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Georgia (Kostacopoulos) Owens for over 16 years. Born in Providence he was the son of the late Leo F. and Geraldine (Mitchell) Owens. Before retirement in 1996, Mr. Owens was a Sergeant with the Providence Police Dept. He was a member of the Commissioned Police Officers Assoc. Mr. Owens was also a Roger Williams University graduate earning a Bachelor's Degree in Science. Besides his wife, Mr. Owens leaves a cousin John Owens of Providence. His funeral with visitation will be held on MONDAY at 8 am followed by a funeral service at 10 am in The RUSSELL J.
