
Stephen V. Duffy “Duff” passed away on April 14, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Gail (Berry) Duffy. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Thomas H. and Marcella (Roddy) Duffy. He lived in Providence for 66 years before moving to Florida. Stephen worked as a chief mechanic for the Narragansett Electric Company, now known as National Grid for 44 years, retiring in 1998. He served his country proudly with the U.S. Marines and the National Guard, was a member of the International Electrical Workers, Local 310, and belonged to the American Legion Post 56. Duff enjoyed camping, fishing, shuffleboard and Nascar. Besides his wife, he leaves three children, Cheryl, Brian, and Kevin Duffy and two grandchildren, Sean and Erin Duffy. He was the brother of the late Thomas H. and James P. Duffy and Sally M. Maggiacomo. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Stephen’s family on Saturday, June 27th at 9:00 am, with a celebration of life beginning at 10:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence, followed by burial in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201, SE Indian Street, Stuart, Florida 34992.
