Stephen Matthew Hallisey, Sr

Stephen M. Hallisey, Sr., 70, of North Providence, formerly of Natick, MA, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Miriam Hospital. He was the loving husband of Kathleen M. (McGee) Hallisey. They were married for 45 years.Born in Boston, MA, he was a son of the late George C. and Genevieve (Judge) Hallisey.Stephen worked at Fidelity Investments for many years, before retiring in 2015. He loved cooking, music, crossword puzzles, the jumble, traveling, playing cards, and laughing with his family and friends. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Besides his wife Kathy, he leaves his children, Jennifer Hallisey Mangan, and her husband Kenneth, of Cranston, Kathleen M. “Katie” Hallisey, and her husband, Jeremy Atherton Davies, of England, and David G. Hallisey, of North Providence; his beloved granddaughter, Fiona Kathleen Mangan; dog, Lily; and siblings, Elizabeth Reagan, George Hallisey, and Brenda Darcy. He was the father of the late Stephen M. Hallisey, Jr. and brother of the late Genevieve Matthews and Nancy DiBenedetto. His funeral will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 8:30 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, in Saint Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Interment will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Harrison Avenue, Warwick. Visiting hours, Friday, April 27, 2018 from 5-8 pm.
