Steven P. Greene

WarwickSteven P. Greene, 58, of Warwick, and formerly of North Kingstown, died accidently Tuesday, October 24, 2017, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was the beloved husband of Joan E. (Finegan) Greene for the past thirty-one years.Born in Providence, a son of John W. Greene and the late Anne (Pruitt) Greene, he lived in North Kingstown for thirty years before moving to Warwick two years ago.Steve worked for the State of Rhode Island for over thirty years, most recently as a landscaper at Rhode Island College, and had previously been assigned to the Department of Transportation.He was an avid new England Patriots fan, and also served honorably in the Rhode Island National Guard for eighteen years.In addition to his wife and father, he leaves a son, Matthew P. Greene; a daughter, Deirdre L. Greene; three brothers, John Greene, Robert Greene and Mark Greene; a sister, Debra Greene; and numerous nieces and nephews.A Service of Remembrance will be held Saturday, from 3:00 - 5:00 pm, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, (Rt117) Warwick, to which relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, donations to Davisville Middle School, 200 School Street, North Kingstown, RI 02852 in his memory will be appreciated.
