Stuart Michael Dickens

DICKENS, STUART MICHAEL, 75, died February 14, 2015. He was the husband of Beverly (Smith) Dickens. Born in Providence, a son of the late Irving and Bernice (Bookbinder) Dickens, he had been a resident of Rhode Island for the last 51 years. Mr. Dickens was a journeyman plumber in the construction industry and was the founder of BESTCO Ent., a manufacturing company. He was in the Air Force in the early 60’s, serving in Germany. Mr. Dickens was an honorary member of the Rhody Fly Rodders, and was an avid fly fisherman. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Alisa Boisclair and her husband Guy of Palm City, FL and Michelle Dickens of North Kingstown; his sisters, Roslyn Dickens of New York City and Phyllis Dickens of Seekonk; his granddaughter Ashley; and his great-grandson Justus. He was the father of the late David Scott Dickens. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 20th at 1:00 PM at the Samuel Priest Chapel in Lincoln Park Cemetery, Warwick. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 1 State St., Ste 200, Providence, RI 02908. Shiva will be observed at his late residence on Sat 7-9 and Sun 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
